   Bit of an update, not taken any decent photos since but got the following updates to my modification list ...
   
   04.04.09 - Lowered by 40mm/50mm on Eibach Sportline springs.
   15.04.09 - Limo tints applied to all windows behind the B pillar.
   
   
   And my current Work In Progress (False floor in boot and amplifiers) ...
   
   Seats out and carpet folded back -
   
   
   Sound deadening applied to rear section and boot -
   
   
   Foam inserts made to house tools -
   
   
   Two sheets of 18mm MDF pre-cut by B&Q saw man -
   
   
   Cut to shape and hinges fitted -
   
   
   Access to spare wheel -
   
   
   Rear / side panels made, rear section shaped to allow removal of carpet with MDF in place and amps test fitted on spacer rails -
   
   
   Distribution blocks fitted to back panel -
   
   
   Holes drilled to hide cabling under floor -
   
   
   Poles cut and mounted in floor to support top panel -
   
   
   Top panel cut to shape and fitted to back panel with hinges -
   
   
   PC fan grills fitted into top panel -
   
   
   Boards stripped down and painted in 1st coat of matt black -
   
   
   PC fan grills sprayed black -
   
   
   
   Work to do ...
   
   Paint some more coats and reverse of boards
   Trim top panel in carpet
   Wire it all up
   Fit sub in passenger footwell

   Mental! looking good, i will be interested to see what you do with the door speakers, mine sound a tad weedy, not after mega sounds just would like to upgrade from the speakers in the cube as standard.

   I'm hoping to get a sub in mine at some point but to be honest the sound system in mine is pretty damn good already. It's all (as far as I know, unless Rider's come with upgraded sounds) standard apart from a really decent head-unit (DVD).

   No sub for me, but def want better speakers. You might have upgraded system as you said though, only got basic CD player (fitted by garage) but seems ok.

   As for "Fit sub in passenger footwell" i will like to see that.
   I cant do this tho' as my rear seats are always slid forward to trap our crazy JackRussel,Alfie,in lol .

    To be fair the speakers are pretty good as they are but I'd got a bit of kit left over from my last car so wanted to make the most of it.
    
    I'll have a look when I remove them to see what they are, if they are upgrades or standard ones - Maybe they have used different speakers in the newer models if they are standard?
    
    As for the sub in the footwell, it is an 8" cone and only needs a small amount of cubic capacity in the box. In the passenger footwell there is a big wedge of polystyrene which I can cut out the centre 10" section out of to fit the box in without taking up any further room.

    I had originally planned to fit this in the passenger footwell but I was a bit surprised at how big a 10" cube was when in the footwell and what I'd hoped was a big wedge of foam was in fact an angled footwell so a bit more investigation revealed just enough space to fit it under the driver seat, rendering it invisible when the driver seat is in my usual position.     Really interesting to see what's under the floor though. Especially all that foam. When it's back on the road let us know if the road noise is noticeably less?

    Mental! cracking job though, always nice to get down to floorpans and chassis, reminds me of my bugs!
    Loads of foam in them! still cant see how you got that 10" speaker under seat!
    Have you changed the door speakers yet? im looking to change mine but not really looked/had chance to try to get door panels off!

    Cheers guys, there's not much to it when you get down to it, just lots of planning and then drilling, cutting, and nuts and bolts.
    
    It's all back together now apart from the door cards / speakers - eurobob I've put a reply to the speakers thread about the door speaker sizes / removing the door cards.

    i bet it sounds ridiculous!!!!! I'm jealous! i just have chucked my stuff in the boot and slid the wires under the trim along the passenger side floor!!!!! I wish i had the patience!!!! That's my problem!!! Ability ok - Patience zero! Well done

    Bit of an update -
    
    I fitted a roller blind at the weekend, as you do , will make a bit of a feature at shows and the reverse is plain white so can be used as a projection screen. (More to come on that one day )
    
    So, start off with a banner ...
    
    
    
    and an IKEA roller blind...
    
    
    
    trim to size...
    
    
    
    and take some carpet tape...
    
    
    
    Ready to be fitted...
    
    
    
    Drill 2 holes into roof lining each side and 2 M5 allen bolts to hold brackets in place...
    
    
    
    Blind in driving position (Makes me laugh when I turn around to reverse) ...
    
    
    
    And for shows (It can be put in front of seats too) ...

    The film I used was from lamin-x.co.uk, and a hairdryer is only needed for shaped headlights, as ours are completely flat on the front the film went on really easily using the rubber spatula provided to spread the film across the lamp.
    
    I think it would really finish yours off with your black grill Ant.

    A bit of an update, I've been working on this off and on since September but today I've finally fitted my custom grill.
    
    I wanted to minimalize the front end by having a nice clean cut black bar for the headlights and grill.
    
    Here's a few photos...
    
    Before -
    
    
    With the headlights tinted in lamin-x film -
    
    
    I cut out the majority of the grill with a jigsaw and then tidied up the inside edge with some flexible chrome edging.
    
    
    I then sanded it to roughen it up, primered it and then attempted to spray it up myself but the paint didn't want to take in the cold weather so it went to the body shop with some interior pieces I've had painted. (More to come on the interior pieces )
    
    Grill in gloss black -
    
    
    I also got two thirds of the indicators sprayed gloss black and covered them in lamin-x film too so that they would hide behind the grill.
    
    
    Next I fitted mesh to the reverse of the grill with quicksteel, screwed the indicators in place, and screwed the air direction guide in place -
    
    
    Fitted to the car -
    
    
    I'm really pleased with the final finish, better than I could have hoped for.

    I've currently got a 10 metre roll of black vinyl and 5 litres of glue in my spare room.
    
    Over the next month that will be used to cover every interior panel that's currently mid grey and then I'll be fitting this little lot (they've all been sprayed in pearl white)

    As purchased from Dave who was breaking his rider on here -

    Once that has been done I'll be going for a seat cover set in black vinyl tailored for the BZ11 cubes (As good as a retrim for much less £££s)

    The edging strips you used are a good idea(as i found out on my grille)covers ALL sins lol !!
