hi guys,i got my cube 6 months ago and it soon started to idle really high (1500 rpm) in park/neutral (hot or cold), so i took it for a service, they cleaned throttle body and now it idles like a boy racer between 1500-2500 rpm, i have since had the ecu out and checked but that seems ok ( though the numbers do not match and it may have been re-placed, my service history is all japanese) i would hate to have to get rid of the car but can't keep throwing cash at it so any help would be really welcomed
erratic idle speeds any suggestions

Just a thought, when i chopped up, i mean re-fabricated my airbox there was a lot of fluff on the MAFS/airflow sensor adjacent to the airbox (prior to the throttle body)which i removed, you might want a looksie at that, on the 1.5cvt its held in by two screws, not sure where it is on the 1.4 though?

Hey mate,
My cube had the exact same problem. No codes will come up.
They have to re-set the idle speed with the computer they plug into the cars port.
My Nissan mechanic told me it's a common problem on cars with electric throttle bodies. They seem to loose their idle speed. It is more likely to occur when you disconnect the throttle body without disconnecting the battery first.

Sorry I can't help you with that one. I live in Australia.
Unless you wanna ship your car here
Just walk in and ask them to reset the idle control or at least have a look at it.
