Cube Cars on "LED brake lights"

If you fit aftermarket LED stop/tail lights you will cause ecu problem and the car will not rev over 3000rpm nor the auto kick down.
This is due to the load the bcm needs to tell the ecu if the brakes are applied or not.
do not fit stop/tail LED lights even if you fit an in line resistor.

I dont know if any of you have a scarpped cube but im after a factory fitted top cubby above the double din stereo?

My cube came with a Single Din Sat Nav above the double Din Stereo which is useless and I have removed it.

I have a cubby that fits but would be nice to get a factory one fitted if you have one?

i have a metal key without a remote central locking on it.
i would want a remote key as it is more convenient to use than having to lock it through the keyhole.
just wondering is there any way that i can have it changed to a remote button locking.
i went to ask a key cutter who does car remote cutting but they said that the nissan cube is impossible to do.
has anyone here have the same problem

Hello everyone..
I have a problem with my Nissan Cube3.
It would not start.. it turns over but there is
no spark (the spark plugs were all taken out of wells when checking this) and there is no smell of fuel coming in (again with the plugs out).

I am not sure if it has anything to do with the immobiliser (if there is one) or something else.
It is keyless entry and keyless ignition. The key fob (with the key) has only unlock and lock buttons which
operates the central locking perfectly.

It has just come into the UK and It has not been starting since its arrival.
I am getting a local garage to look into via their diagnostic equipment on Tues.. I will post the outcome after.
However I would welcome any suggestions as to why the fault occurs, if it is common with Cubes or any one with similar experiences.
Thanks

Jay

My first sighting of a cube was when i went to Japan, and once i saw that i could get my hands on one here, i gave into my temptations and here it is.

This was one of the things that got me wanting a cube, on top of spotting them in Japan, Andy Wana(Inspiration), sitting in front of my computer desk.. I thought to my self. THIS, will be one of my next cars.. I purchased it from Japan to remind me of the awesomeness of it <img src="http://forum.cubeownersclub.co.uk/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />

This was before I owned it, I went and checked it out but carnet auctions didnt even let me take it for a test drive, regardless of my interest in buying the car. anyway the guy was a douche. true story, but we wont go there..

heres a pic.

taken from a camera phone.

I was the first to register it in Aus. And First owner. It wasn't a nice experience when buying the car but I was happy with the outcome..,

The first thing i did was put the Wakaba leaf that i brought home from Japan on it because its jdm yo!

#2

I bought from e-bay for my lancer a broadway convex mirror, that went straight to my cube.

Character is always something that I look for in my cars, more so than performance.
It is the one thing in my opinion that adds the most value to any car ownership.
So when the time comes to look for a daily drive that will fit a growing family, character is automatically the no.1 requirement.
I always want cars to match my personality - so something quirky, crazy, oddball and charming it is then.

I thought long and hard outside the box, and stepped into the Cube ... <img src="http://forum.cubeownersclub.co.uk/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_mrgreen.gif" title="" class="bb_smilies" />

The Cube replaces our beloved RX8 (which replaced the MX5 Clubman).
In a way, it is an upgrade from our rotary experiment.
I upgraded from a 4 seater to a 7 seater. <img src="http://forum.cubeownersclub.co.uk/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />
I upgraded from a 1.3L engine to a 1.5L engine. <img src="http://forum.cubeownersclub.co.uk/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />
Fuel economy is literally halved, not that it mattered when I had the RX8 as my daily. <img src="http://forum.cubeownersclub.co.uk/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />

The love affair with the Cube went back as far as 2007 when we went to Japan for our honeymoon.
On paper/brochure/computer screen, the car looks rubbish.
When I saw it in real life, I was smitten. I was in love with it.

It's a very Japanese car in every way (even if Renault owns Nissan these days).
It's quirky, cheerful, efficient and functional - much like Japan really.
Its 4 sides are ALL DIFFERENT TOO! Where else do you see asymmetry on a car but on the Cube.
Little wonder then that the Cube is one of Japan's most popular urban car.

When I got home, I went straight to business and ask importers locally here as to when it'll be available.
Most were telling me 6-12 months, but 2008 came and went in a blink of an eye.
I eventually forgot about the car and were contemplating the likes of Mazda2 and Honda Jazz to replace my RX8.
The head is with these cars, but the heart is still with the Cube.

So when word came around that the Cube is finally available in Australia, I went back to my hunt.
I looked at a few Cubes before coming across this 2008 Cubic model with only 9600km genuine kms on the odometer.
Not wanting to miss out on the urban car of my dreams in an excellent condition, I test drove it, fell in love with it all over again ... and bought it.

The HR15DE 1.5L engine came from the JDM Nissan Tiida.
It has a CVT auto transmission, which is smooth and pleasant for city driving.
Cabin insulation is pretty good too, which is a bonus if you want a quiet and comfortable ride.

Performance is LOL to say the least. Taking about 11 seconds for 0-100km/h?
But what it lacks in performance, it makes up for it with charm.
Kids absolutely love this car, thinking it's like a real life LEGO/Tonka van or something.
People usually either smile when they look at it, or just stare in horror at the box on wheels.
"Square" is a commonly used term around this car, so I've gotten used to that pretty quickly.

I love to mod this car and it's now looking a bit different to the pics above. Love to share my experiences (and mods) with this car and chat all things Cube with fellow owners too here.

Hi, I am reluctantly selling my much loved cube. I will be getting a company car shortly and can't keep the cube. It is a 2005 type Z11 5 door sky blue 1.4 auto. It is taxed till end Dec and MOT till November. I have owned it for nearly 2 years and it was registered as new in this country by the previous owner. So only 2 owners on the log book from new. It has about 44,000 miles on the clock. It has a CD DVD Radio fitted and screens in the rear head rests which are also remote. It has factory alloys and is in great condition. I am looking for £5,750 for it, I will be putting it in auto trader next week for this price but I thought I would put it on here first incase anyone was interested. I would rather it go to someone who really likes cubes. Feel free to inbox me if you would like any more details. Thanks Helen

I finally have my own cube!!!!

Been wanting one since Japfest 2009 and finally picked mine up on Saturday, well worth the 9 hour round trip ... absolutely awesome little car. Will post some pics later.

I am now a fully fledged member of the "WTF is that car" owners club ... I hate it when people don't stop and stare <img src="http://forum.cubeownersclub.co.uk/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_lol.gif" title="" class="bb_smilies" />

Now I just need to get rid of my micra <img src="http://forum.cubeownersclub.co.uk/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_redface.gif" title="" class="bb_smilies" />
